Ethnocafe: Conversation with Georgy Georgiev – Gunter

The second participant in our Ethnocafe series is Georgi Georgiev. A native of Byala Slatina, he lived and worked in Germany, today he is a bachelor of history and a master’s student in the Bulgarian Revival program at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. is on a postgraduate qualification in Ottoman studies at the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”. He describes himself as communicative, organized and motivated person. In the conversation with him, we will learn why he joins the Facebook group “Bulgarian Gypsy Community – Meritokratsiya” and why he signs his publications there with the German name Günter, what is his experience with the educational system and why he chose to learn Ottoman Turkish.
